Confession
I have spent so much of my life trusting to my own intuition and sensibilities, but every once in a while I worry that I may have misjudged or misrepresented someone or something. Most of the time, I don’t question what I am feeling, but when I reflect on it, I sometimes wonder if I may have been influenced by someone else’s perceptions.
And at once I knew, I was not magnificent.

Perfect in delicacy and wondrous in form, the skeleton leaf is a web of complex frailty, strengthened here in electroplated copper by Enchanted Leaves (shop Etsy ♥).

With autumn brings crisp air, leaves, apples and pears. In retreat from a blustery wind, take comfort in front of the fireplace with this warm, cinnamony-sweet treat of Honeyed Pears in Puff Pastry from Sprinkle Bakes.
My only addition would be a brushing of buttermilk and sprinkling of turbinado sugar for the puff pastry right before it went into the oven. ❧
